Affiliate Disclosure
SaveSleuth uses affiliate links on some store, product, comparison, and deal pages. If you click an eligible link and make a qualifying purchase, SaveSleuth may receive a commission from the retailer or affiliate network.
This normally does not increase the price you pay. Affiliate commissions help support the research, technical maintenance, and ongoing development of SaveSleuth.
How affiliate links are identified
Affiliate links may appear in buttons, product cards, coupon blocks, store pages, comparison tables, or other commercial sections of the site. Where appropriate, they may be marked with wording such as affiliate link, paid link, sponsored, or an equivalent disclosure near the commercial element.
Some internal SaveSleuth links first open one of our own product or store pages before a reader chooses to continue to a retailer. Those internal links are not themselves a claim that the retailer is an active affiliate partner.
What an affiliate commission means
- SaveSleuth may receive a commission after a qualifying purchase or other eligible action.
- The retailer or affiliate network determines whether a transaction qualifies.
- The commission normally does not add an extra charge to your order.
- Commission rates can differ between retailers, products, markets, and affiliate programmes.
- A higher commission does not automatically result in a better review or ranking.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships and editorial assessments are treated separately. A retailer does not receive a better verdict simply because SaveSleuth can earn a commission from a purchase.
- A non-affiliate retailer may be recommended ahead of an affiliate partner.
- A product with no commission may still be included when it is relevant to the comparison.
- An active affiliate programme alone is not enough for us to recommend a product.
- Brands cannot buy a positive editorial verdict or guaranteed ranking.
- Material problems, limitations, or conflicting information may still be reported for affiliate partners.
More detail about our review process is available on our methodology page.
Store status and affiliate status are different
A store can remain open and continue selling products even if SaveSleuth no longer has an affiliate relationship with it. Likewise, an older SaveSleuth page may remain online for research purposes even when a retailer has paused or stopped sales.
For this reason, we distinguish between:
- store status — whether the retailer is operating and accepting orders;
- product status — whether a specific product is listed, in stock, sold out, or removed;
- SaveSleuth partner status — whether we currently have an affiliate, coupon, or other commercial relationship with the retailer.
Deals, coupons, and prices
Deals and coupon codes can change quickly. A code may expire, become limited to new customers, require a minimum spend, exclude certain products, or stop working without notice.
- Some discounts are applied automatically and do not require a code.
- Some codes work only for selected products, accounts, countries, or time periods.
- Minimum order values or other conditions may apply.
- A sale price and a coupon code are not necessarily the same offer.
- The final price shown by the retailer at checkout is the amount that matters.
We try to keep commercial information current, but we cannot guarantee that a price, stock level, coupon, or promotion remains unchanged after our most recent check.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, SaveSleuth may earn from qualifying purchases made through eligible Amazon links.
Amazon affiliate availability can vary by country and market. The presence of Amazon content on SaveSleuth does not mean that every regional Amazon store is currently part of our affiliate setup.
Other affiliate programmes
SaveSleuth may also work with direct merchant programmes and affiliate networks. These relationships can start, change, or end over time.
When a partnership ends, we may keep an existing editorial page online if it still answers a useful product, store, or brand query. In that case, old commercial links or coupon claims should be removed or updated rather than treating the underlying retailer or product as automatically discontinued.
Free products and paid collaborations
If SaveSleuth receives a product free of charge, participates in a paid collaboration, or receives another material benefit connected to a specific piece of content, we aim to disclose that relationship on the relevant page.
Receiving a product does not automatically make a review positive. Where a hands-on test has not taken place, we do not describe editorial research as personal product testing.
Trademarks and retailer relationships
SaveSleuth is an independent website and is not owned, operated, or endorsed by the retailers and brands covered on the site unless explicitly stated otherwise. Brand names, logos, product names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
